Mondi is strengthening its position in corrugated board processing by acquiring the Western European business of Schumacher Packaging. With the addition of production sites in Germany, Benelux and the UK, Mondi intends to expand its capacities in the e-commerce and FMCG sector.
Mondi has signed an agreement to acquire the corrugated and solid board plants of Schumacher Packaging in Western Europe. The takeover includes seven corrugated board processing plants and six solid board locations, including two large production sites in Ebersdorf and Greven, Germany. With this acquisition, Mondi aims to expand its reach in Western Europe and strengthen its range of sustainable fibre-based packaging solutions, particularly in the fast-growing e-commerce sector.
