Mondi expands portfolio from Slovakian plant

Packaging manufacturer Mondi has commissioned a new slitting and rewinding line at its Ružomberok plant in Slovakia. The company wants to expand its capacity for narrow rolls and its portfolio.

With the expanded portfolio Mondi in particular Customers in professional printing and converting just. Narrow rolls are used for printing applications, for example, but are also processed into envelopes or writing pads. The envelope paper IQ Allround Envelope and the notebook paper IQ Universal Notebook are two of the products that are now also available on a larger scale as narrow rolls and provide print processors with a consistent paper supply. Offset and preprint papers such as Maestro Print, IQ Print and DNS Performance Plus are used by professional print shops that value smooth printing processes and good print results.

The extensive range of paper is produced at Mondi SCP. This integrated pulp and paper mill in Slovakia fulfils strict sustainability requirements. All uncoated fine papers produced there under the Mondi Uncoated Fine Paper brand have the Cradle to Cradle Certified Bronze certification level. Regardless of the respective certification level, Cradle to Cradle Certified stands for the fact that all certified products are manufactured in a safe, recyclable and responsible manner. Depending on the product, the papers bear the EU Ecolabel and are certified in accordance with the chain of custody requirements of PEFC and/or FSCTM.
