The adhesive tape manufacturer Monta is now offering a printed version of its certified sustainable self-adhesive tape monta biopack on. This should make the sustainability of the product even more visible.
At the end of 2019, Monta launched its monta biopack®, the first certified sustainable self-adhesive tape made in Germany to the market. Thanks to its bio-based PLA film, which is coated with natural rubber adhesive, the adhesive tape consists of around 90 per cent renewable materials. It is demonstrably biodegradable within a few months and bears the OK COMPOST INDUSTRIAL Logo of TÜV Austria.
monta biopack now visibly green
According to the company, the new adhesive tape version is in response to increased demand from biopack users. They wanted the sustainability aspect of the product to be focussed on even more. With the green imprint 90% natural material is monta biopack® 860 LG Recognisable as environmentally friendly adhesive tape at a glance. In this way, it directly communicates its added value for the user's packaging.

The adhesive tape printed with compostable ink also bears the OK COMPOST INDUSTRIAL Logo from TÜV Austria. It also demonstrably fulfils the EN 13432, ASTM D 6400-04 and ISO 17088 (2012) standards. The adhesive tape is available on monta Green line core in the dimensions 80m x 50mm and 1200m x 50mm.
Both monta biopack variants also promise a low material usage. The cardboard packaging is reliably sealed even when applied in a single layer. The adhesive tape is therefore ideal for resource-saving sealing of medium to heavy cardboard packaging, for bio-based bags and films, as well as for bundling flowers and garden waste.
