Mosca GmbH is starting the new year with a new corporate structure. With the new holding structure, the aim is to improve internal networking and at the same time be able to react more flexibly to customer requirements and market changes.

The strapping division has been part of MOSCA since April 2020. Strap & Consumables GmbH & Co. KG independent, the other divisions „Machinery & Equipment“ and „Sales & Service“ have now followed suit as of 1 January 2021.

„We have specifically bundled our technological expertise in development, production and service in independent subsidiaries, which will now manage and drive forward their topics worldwide,“ explains Simone Mosca, Managing Director of Mosca. „As paradoxical as it may sound at first, this division of the company and transfer of responsibilities we are growing closer together in our international co-operation, create more transparency and knowledge exchange.“

Strengthening all-round support internationally

The aim is to be able to react more quickly and flexibly to customer requirements in the future through international integration and the pooling of expertise. Mosca offers its customers all-round support, from process consulting at the end of the packaging line to customised systems, strapping and service. This „Everything from a single source principle“ is to be strengthened by the new structure across national borders. The reorganisation will have little direct impact on Mosca customers. They were already informed of any changes to contact persons or addresses before the changeover at the turn of the year.

The Mosca Management Board, consisting of Timo Mosca, Simone Mosca and Alfred Kugler, is at the head of the Group company. The six ‚Group Directors‘ of the subsidiaries report directly to them.

„The holding company forms the framework for the subsidiaries. In close dialogue with the Group Directors, we develop strategies and goals that form the framework for all the subsidiaries‚ activities. This structure will make it easier for us to pursue a common approach in future, recognise trends and develop the best possible solutions for our customers around the world.‘ Simone Mosca, Mosca Managing Director

Strengthen knowledge exchange

According to the company, there will be no changes to the general conditions for employees. However, they will be significantly more involved in global and interdisciplinary project teams work. According to Jan Wessel, Group Director Strap & Consumables, a lot of positive experience has already been gained in this area since the spin-off in spring 2020. In the future, Mosca will be focusing on sustainability, digitalisation and automation in particular. Intensive exchange of best practices.

„Ideas and solutions that colleagues in Asia have long since put into practice could also be helpful in Europe or America - and vice versa. We take a close look at where we can learn from each other and harmonise processes. This creates even more efficiency and innovative strength within the divisions and across the entire Mosca Group.“ Jan Wessel
