With the new L 320 labelling series, Multivac is launching a flexible solution for labelling cylindrical, conical products and shaped bottles. The system covers various labelling types and can be integrated into existing production lines.

Multivac is expanding its labelling technology portfolio with the L 320. The series is suitable for wrap-around, front and back, top and seal labelling. It processes cylindrical and conical products as well as moulded bottles and is modularly configurable.

For precise labelling, the packs are separated and aligned on the conveyor belt. A stable product guide ensures exact positioning of the labels. Depending on the application, several label dispensers can be integrated to apply different labels in a single pass. The servo technology ensures a high level of accuracy, while optional pressure systems support reliable adhesion even at high cycle rates. With the zero downtime function, production remains uninterrupted during roll changes.

Thanks to its compact design, the L 320 requires little floor space and is suitable for integration into existing lines as well as smaller production environments. Short changeover times facilitate product and label changes, which is particularly advantageous for frequently changing batches. The low maintenance requirements increase system availability. In addition, the digital Multivac Smart Services enable continuous monitoring and optimisation of performance.

The system can be equipped with optical inspection systems for additional process reliability. These check label presence, print image, barcodes, position and pattern. Faulty products can be automatically ejected. Thermal transfer, thermal inkjet and continuous inkjet printers are optionally available, which apply variable print data directly in the process.
