The second round of the Multivac Summit 2021 event series on food processing and packaging will start in mid-April.
The programme once again covers two topics: Line and automation expertise in the field of proteins and VPackaging solutions for Fresh Produce and Convenience. From 12 April, customers and representatives of the food industry will initially be able to meet virtually, and from 26 April also in person. in corona-compliant face-to-face events to provide comprehensive information on current developments and future trends.
As with the first series of events in March, the second series of events Multivac Summit the technical presentations, individual expert discussions and solution-orientated live demonstrations will take place in the mornings and afternoons, initially as virtual live sessions. Both thematic blocks can be combined with each other. The venue for the face-to-face events from 26 April will once again be the new Application Centre and the Training and Innovation Centre at the headquarters in Wolfertschwenden. From May, the content will also be available on the Multivac City platform.
Line and automation expertise: proteins
This event focusses on the efficient processing and packaging of proteins. Among other things. a slicer line for the fully automatic slicing and packaging of sliced cheese in live operation. An efficient component of the line is the S 1600 high-performance slicer, which sets standards in the market, particularly with its innovative slicing technology and high precision.
For the Automatic loading of sausages the Multivac Centrifuge Feeder will be presented. It ensures optimum alignment of straight or slightly curved sausages so that they can be easily picked up by a robot and placed in the packaging cavities.
The packaging experts will also provide information on innovative solutions and approaches for safe Labelling and labelling control of packaging. The focus here is on cross web labelling and direct film printing.
Solutions for fresh produce and convenience
The second event is all about for the packaging of fruit, vegetables and convenience products. How can the shelf life of sensitive products be extended? How can packaging material consumption be reduced? What sustainable packaging concepts does Multivac offer specifically for these products? And how can cups, cylindrical bottles and shaped bottles be labelled flexibly and efficiently? These and other questions will be answered in presentations and live demonstrations in the Training and Innovation Centre.
One topic of particular relevance for almost all companies is Digitisation. In their presentation, the speakers will explore the question of why digital solutions are particularly valuable right now. The focus will not only be on current developments in the market, but also on the digital portfolio of Multivac.
In addition to the myMultivac customer portal, customers have access to various smart services that contribute to high efficiency, machine availability and process reliability. The programme is rounded off with information on post-sales support and „Meet the Experts“ discussions, which offer customers the opportunity to discuss their individual questions with the Innovation Center specialists.
