In response to the growing trend for regional products in glass bottles, Volvic is now launching Naturwald Quelle, a mineral water in a returnable glass bottle.
The new natural Mineral water comes from the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park When it comes to packaging, Volvic and Danone Waters Deutschland GmbH are breaking new ground by using glass in returnable bottles.
Natural forest source in Glass bottles instead of PET bottles
Natural forest source is only regionally distributed, This enables short transport routes, which is why Volvic relies on Refillable glass bottles. The mineral water is distributed by Danone Waters Germany in 0.75 litre bottles: It will be available from July 2021 in the flavours Naturelle and Medium.

For the original from Volvic Due to the weight and transport distance, the company continues to rely on recyclable non-returnable PET bottles made from 100 per cent recycled plastic. An exception are lids and labelling, where the company says it is working „with high pressure“ on recyclable solutions.
