The strongest and most attractive
Wet adhesive tapes made from fibre-reinforced, multi-layer paper composites are the strongest form of closure. Even climatic influences such as extreme cold, heat or high humidity do not affect these sealing strips. They are also highly resistant to ageing. Even after years, the contents of the box are still reliably protected. As they seal dust-tight, the strips are also ideal for use in the food industry or in medical technology. In addition, the packaging sealed in this way can be completely recycled after use without any concerns. There is no need for time-consuming separation of materials.
During the production of the thick strips, water-soluble glue is broken down using steam and applied to the paper web using an applicator. The water is then removed from the paper web at temperatures of around 200°C in a drying system. In the case of fibre-reinforced wet adhesive strips, the paper, adhesive and glass fibres are combined in the „Sandwich process“ processed. The following applies here: the closer the threads are to each other, the higher the load-bearing capacity of the material later on.
