Metsä Board, a Metsä Group company, is one of the founding members of the new 4evergreen alliance, which also includes other members of the European Confederation of the Paper Industry (CEPI). The new alliance promotes fibre-based packaging as part of a sustainable circular economy to minimise climate and environmental impact.
4evergreen was created as a joint forum for industry companies involved in the value chain for fibre-based packaging. These range from paper and cardboard manufacturers to converting companies, brand manufacturers and retailers, as well as technology and accessory suppliers and recycling and disposal companies.
„Broad-based global cooperation is an important prerequisite for Promoting the circular economy and combating climate change. Together, we can exploit the potential of fibre-based packaging and develop future-oriented packaging solutions based on renewable raw materials.“
