The pro-K Board of Directors has appointed Sven Weihe to manage the association's business on an interim basis. Weihe is taking over the position following the sudden death of longstanding Managing Director Ralf Olsen.
The 49-year-old German studies and history graduate was only appointed to the General meeting of the pro-K appointed Managing Director Communications. With the unexpected death of Ralf Olsen, the need arose to fill the management vacuum at pro-K quickly and competently.
Sven Weihe studied at the Leibniz University of Hanover and the University of Bristol. He joined pro-K Industrieverband langlebige Kunststoffprodukte und Mehrwegsysteme e. V. in January 2023. he was head of communications at the plastics producers' association Plastics Europe Deutschland. Weihe has been working in the plastics industry in various roles since 2012.
