Greif is presenting a new version of its interactive calculator for reducing CO2 emissions at interpack. The tool is designed to help customers achieve their sustainability goals by calculating the carbon footprint of their packaging.
As a version of the company's own Green Tool, which evaluates the environmental impact of the packaging solutions produced by Greif using independent life cycle data, the Green Tool Lite provides quick and efficient Key figures on the carbon footprint of IBC, plastic and steel drums.
By entering the most important information into the calculator, Green Tool Lite enables customers to Analyse and compare different industrial packaging and thus gain an insight into the environmental impact data of your products. The results are presented in a simple diagram showing the CO2 emissions caused by production and transport, z. e.g. of newly manufactured IBCs compared to remanufactured IBCs. CO2 emission equivalents are also given, such as the number of trees that would have to be planted to bind the amount of carbon dioxide emitted.
„We can now help more customers make informed decisions about the use of their industrial packaging and achieve their sustainability goals. The tool also strengthens our own commitment to promoting a circular economy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Each and every one of us is responsible for protecting the environment and reducing our environmental impact, and the opportunity for positive change is greatest through collaboration.”
