New CEO for Mondi Flexible Packaging

Austrian Thomas Ott is the new CEO of the Flexible Packaging and Engineered Materials divisions of the international packaging and paper manufacturer Mondi.

Austrian Thomas Ott is the new CEO of the Flexible Packaging and Engineered Materials divisions of the international packaging and paper manufacturer Mondi.

Born in Vienna, he began his career at Mondi in 1995 in Financial Controlling and in the following years took over management positions in various business segments. Most recently, Ott worked for the packaging manufacturer Amcor in Switzerland.

As CEO for Mondi Flexible Packaging and Engineered Materials, Thomas Ott is responsible for sales of around four billion euros with a management span of more than 12,000 employees in 29 countries. He succeeds Peter Orisich in this position, who has retired.

The 54-year-old industry expert sees the greatest challenge in the Development of sustainable, recyclable packaging solutions and effective measures against climate change.
