Rondo Ganahl has expanded its corrugated board production capacity at its headquarters in Frastanz by investing 16.5 million euros in a new corrugated board plant.

Rondo has always invested continuously, most recently in the new corrugator, which was put into operation in mid-January - after a meticulously planned and perfectly coordinated conversion in record time. Even during the almost three-week conversion phase, the aim was to guarantee security of supply for customers.

„The date for the conversion was set years ago, planned with great foresight and coordinated in detail with our employees and customers months before the start of the conversion. This allowed us to carry out pre-production in good time, reserve pallet spaces and coordinate delivery dates between the public holidays.“

Over 33,000 pallets were stored during this time to ensure that there were no supply bottlenecks for the packaging. As part of the remodelling project, the expansion of storage capacity for the raw materials needed to produce the corrugated cardboard and therefore the security of the internal supply of raw materials for production was also a top priority. In preparation for the 135 metre long and around 300 tonne heavy new corrugator The reel warehouse was expanded accordingly. In addition to the existing warehouse, a further 370 rolls of corrugated base paper, each weighing an average of three tonnes, can now be stored upstream and transported to the new corrugator for processing via the shortest route.
