The German Packaging Institute e. V. (dvi) has a new management team. At a meeting on 1 March 2024, the members elected a new Executive Board, including the Chairman of the Executive Board. The new Chairman of the dvi is Thomas Reiner. As a co-founder of the dvi, the CEO of the Berndt+Partner Group was already its Chairman of the Board from 2006 to 2018.
The members elected Oliver Bruns, CEO of Gundlach Verpackung GmbH, as Deputy Chairman of the Board. The new treasurer is Michael Arndt, Managing Director of Fixum Creative Technology GmbH. Immo Sander, Head of Business Development DE BE NL at Alpla Werke Lehner GmbH & Co KG, is the new Secretary. The elected management team also includes Sabine Gauger-Wahl (Optima packaging group GmbH), Dr Nabila Rabanizada (Remondis Recycling GmbH & Co. KG) and Maresa Zimmermann (Henkel AG & Co. KGaA). The new Executive Board was elected in accordance with the Articles of Association elected for a term of three years.
The dvi would like to thank the departing Executive Board members Wolf-Dieter Baumann, his deputy Fabian Neumann and Dr Bettina Horenburg, Roman Billiani, Bernd Büsing, Gabriele Hässig and Stephan Karl for their strong personal commitment and successful work in recent years. Many thanks also go to the companies of the former Board members. They had created the necessary space for their managers volunteer with the dvi were able to contribute so productively.
