With the new EcoStitch melter series, Valco Melton has launched an electronically controlled adhesive melter, which - as an industry first - features digital pressure control with a closed control loop.
In addition to the digital print control, the Ethernet IP integration, a Display of adhesive consumption data as well as complete OEM integration with all digital data on the features of the new melter series.
EcoStitch melters do not require compressed air. They use precise melt pumps to deliver the adhesive constantly and reliably. For the specific application requirements Valco Melton offers four pump sizes for all melters. The Digital pressure control with closed control loop is an industry first for adhesive melters for food and beverage packaging. Customers can now digitally monitor and adjust the adhesive pressure and have in-built key-to-line control.
EcoStitch displays adhesive consumption
The adhesive consumption data available on the screen is another innovative feature of the EcoStitch melters. Equipped with this, the devices monitor and measure the amount of adhesive that is pumped through the system. This is not only calculated, how much adhesive is used per day, per hour or per year it also displays the average amount of adhesive in grams per product directly on the screen.
Ethernet-IP communication is available for all EcoStitch melters that are connected to the existing PLC and are visible or accessible via existing HMIs. With the integrated solution Both the melting system and the pump system are fully controlled and the pressure can be adjusted. The new melters have a universal base plate that allows installation on almost any existing platform.
