New KHS Managing Director Sales and Service

Returning to his old place of work: Tobias Wetzel will become the new KHS Managing Director Sales and Service on 1 January 2024.

Return to the old place of work: Tobias Wetzel will become the new KHS Managing Director Sales and Service on 1 January 2024. This has been confirmed by the Supervisory Board of the Dortmund-based company.

The 50-year-old is returning to KHS from the Mannesmann Stainless Tubes Group, where he joined as Managing Director at the end of 2020. Wetzel already held various management positions at KHS between 2011 and 2020, most recently as Head of Service Division. He now completes the top team around Kai Acker (Chairman of the Management Board), Martin Resch (Managing Director Finance, Purchasing and IT) and Beate Schäfer (Managing Director Human Resources). Tobias Wetzel will take up his new position as Managing Director Sales and Service on 1 January 2024.

Wetzel previously worked for Dortmund systems supplier KHS. almost ten years in various management positions, initially as Head of RC Service Sales Support, then as Executive Vice President Corporate Controlling and finally as Head of Service Division until his departure.

Between April 2015 and August 2019, he also took over the Management of KHS Corpoplast GmbH, then known as KHS Corpoplast GmbH (now KHS GmbH) in Hamburg. Prior to this time at the full-service provider, the business administration graduate had already worked for around ten years in various functions and companies at Mannesmannröhren-Werke - and has thus been with Salzgitter AG, to which both companies belong, for 20 years.

After completing his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), General Management, at what is now Zeppelin University in Friedrichshafen, he went on to complete a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the FOM University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management. Following his studies Career entry at Coca-Cola. Wetzel stayed there for more than three years and already gained extensive experience in the beverage industry.
