The product aims to strike a chord with the times: The kitchen garden seed set stands for „urban gardening“ at home, as well as for a Increasing awareness of recycling and reuse of packaging. The herb sets were sold out within a few days in April, offered by a large discounter in Germany and the Netherlands.
FSC label communicates sustainability
For the Folding box made from FSC-certified recycled cardboard as much material as necessary was used - but also as little as possible. Printing the FSC label on the packaging makes it clear to consumers that the packaging material comes from sustainably managed forests and thus creates additional trust in the product. The FSC label is currently the most recognised and credible in its class - 68% of consumers trust it.
Climate-neutral packaging
The material used in the production of the folding carton from recycled cardboard CO2 was offset by the STI Group for the manufacturer in a regional climate protection project. This is transparent for the consumer, as the project number is displayed with the Climate Partner Label printed on the packaging. On the Climate Partner website, consumers can then easily see how and where the CO2 was compensated.
Second life for yoghurt pots
In addition to substrate tabs and seed discs, the sowing set also contains 3 Design cuffs made from cardboard. These are available as Attractive wrapping for empty yoghurt pots that are actually ready for disposal in which the herbs grow. The finished mini herb garden not only looks good on the windowsill, but is also fun and encourages people to think about a second use for packaging or separating materials for recycling.
