The traditional Bremen-based family business Gustav Schramm GmbH is handing over management to the third generation. Sören Hadeler takes over the helm from his father Jens Hadeler and plans to expand the company with new branches and an expanded e-commerce business.
Gustav Schramm GmbH, a well-established family business from Bremen, Germany, has Change of leadership completed. Founded in 1912, the company is now one of the largest packaging retailers in Germany. After more than three decades, Jens Hadeler (67) hands over the management of the company to his son Sören Hadeler (36), who will lead the company into the future.
Sören Hadeler, who had a close relationship with the company from an early age, is following in his father's footsteps with great enthusiasm. „Even as a young boy, I was always here with great enthusiasm and am now all the more pleased to be able to continue the Carrying on my father's life's work to be able to do so,“ said the new Managing Director. The headquarters of Gustav Schramm GmbH will remain in Bremen, a city with which the company has over a hundred years of history. This connection is also symbolised by the restored Goliath GD 750, the company's first company car. „We have restored the Goliath and thus preserved a piece of the history of Bremen and Schramm,“ says Sören Hadeler.
Sören Hadeler and his team have big tasks ahead of them when he takes over the management of the company. He has a clear vision for the future of the company, which currently employs 111 people. They work at the headquarters in Bremen and at the branches in Waldheim (Saxony), Wülfrath (North Rhine-Westphalia) and Groß-Gerau (Hesse). The Expansion of the company to continue in 2025 including a new branch in south-west Germany. In addition, the E-commerce business further boosted by the takeover of Verpackung-Shop.de. The online shop has been expanded in terms of content and equipped with new functions and optimised performance to improve the digital shopping experience.
