Mettler-Toledo product inspection has now announced the market launch of its M30 R series GC metal detection systems. The systems are aimed specifically at small and medium-sized manufacturers and contract packers. Thanks to their modular design, the systems can be adapted to changing compliance and productivity requirements at any time. The new one, Intelligent Sense software, together with powerful algorithms, ensures high detection sensitivity against all types of metal contamination with minimal false rejects, setting new standards in the entry-level device class. Dynamic Stability Control increases the metal detector's protection against ambient noise and vibration interference, thus enhancing its precision and reliability.
Modular metal detection systems
The GC metal detection systems in the M30 R series have a modular design: If compliance or production requirements change, the metal detector and conveyor belt can be easily upgraded or replaced. This enables manufacturers to reduce their total cost of ownership, to extend the service life of their systems and thus contribute to greater sustainability.

The M30 R series is the first product family from Mettler-Toledo Product inspection based on Sense software technology. The full-colour touchscreen simplifies operation and important tasks are accessible via the quick access menu. Localisation is possible at individual user level, including a standard selection of 33 languages, reduces the risk of errors and increases productivity. The robust design with a choice of three protection classes from IP65 to IP69K ensures long-term, reliable performance in a wide range of production environments.
Four metal detectors to choose from
With the M30 R series, there are four metal detectors to choose from depending on production and compliance requirements as well as budget considerations. They can into a variety of conveyor belt systems integrated including the recently introduced GC Series metal detection systems on conveyor belt. This now includes new options such as extended belt lengths, a solid frame and a wider choice of discharge mechanisms, including overhead diverters and retracting belt.
