Etimex is presenting a new Purelay High Performance monoblister at the CPhI in Barcelona. The new variant has a lower weight and, according to the company, a better eco-balance than PVC/aluminium solutions.
The new PP-polypropylene monoblister offers a much more compact design compared to standard PVC aluminium blisters. 30 per cent higher water vapour barrier with simultaneously around 30 per cent less packaging weight and the same film thickness. It also has outstanding environmental properties. The environmentally friendly PVC and aluminium-free film is fully recyclable. The Pharmablister can also be Made entirely from second-generation renewable raw materials which reduces CO2-emissions and thus the impact on global warming. With the Interseroh The company has already achieved top marks for its environmental certification, as was the case with its predecessor Purelay Pharm.
The new high-performer is available as Purelay Pharm High Performance with a thermoforming film from 200 to 800 micrometres and Purelay Lid High Performance with a top film for pressing through from 80 micrometres, Both variants can be printed in flexo and digital printing. Use on existing PVC/ALU processing machines is easy thanks to the plug & play concept with only minor modifications. New systems that are designed for PP processing gain additional performance. Optimised properties in production enable the Identical cycle performance as with standard PVC/ALU blisters.
„From decades of experience, we know the high demands of our customers and have developed an innovative solution based on our knowledge that sets new standards.“
