The automation specialist Omron has opened a new Automation Centre (ATC) in Stuttgart. The centre complements the network of existing ATCs worldwide - from Japan to China and the USA - and is intended in particular to promote exchange with partners and customers from the DACH region.
Real-life applications of AI, industrial robotics, image processing and control technology will be demonstrated at the new ATC. Customers can analyse their requirements on site together with Omron experts and develop prototype solutions, according to the statement. The centre therefore sees itself not only as a showroom, but above all as a collaborative development environment.
Focus on sustainable automation
One focus is on sustainable production. As part of Omron's „Shaping the Future 2030“ strategy, the company is focussing on technologies that help to reduce emissions, increase energy efficiency and conserve resources. Examples of this include energy-optimised control systems and smart image processing to reduce waste.
Modern environment for Industry 4.0 applications
The new ATC is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and allows simulations and live tests of applications from various industries - such as packaging, automotive, pharmaceuticals and food. According to Omron, the location in Stuttgart strengthens its presence in one of the most important European technology hubs.
