With TabTec CR, Sanner is launching a newly developed packaging on the market that combines child safety, user-friendliness and integrated moisture protection for tablets and capsules.
Sanner GmbH has introduced TabTec CR, a revised version of its successful tablet packaging. The new solution is aimed at manufacturers of solid oral dosage forms (OSD) such as tablets, hard or soft capsules and addresses key requirements for product protection, safety and handling.
The demand for patient-friendly packaging solutions for solid oral dosage forms (OSD) such as tablets or hard and soft gelatine capsules is growing rapidly. „More and more people are relying on prescription and over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements to optimise their health and manage chronic diseases,“ says Ulla Hahn, Head of Product Management at Sanner. TabTec CR has therefore been consistently tailored to the practical needs of patients and manufacturers.
Child safety meets design
The „push-and-flip“ locking mechanism, which prevents unintentional opening, takes centre stage. The certified child safety lock complies with international standards and also offers ease of use for adults - for example when travelling. The compact, pocketable design makes the packaging particularly attractive for mobile applications and promotes therapy compliance.
With its individual colour design and branding options, TabTec CR is also suitable for brand differentiation at the point of sale.
Integrated moisture protection through desiccant
A unique selling point is the integrated desiccant technology: in a separate chamber in the base of the packaging, an individually selectable desiccant - such as silica gel, activated charcoal or molecular sieves - effectively protects the contents from moisture. This ensures long-term product quality without the need for additional drying elements in the production line, says Sanner.
Efficiency in production
TabTec CR is compatible with existing filling and packaging lines and thus enables efficient integration into existing production processes, the company continues. The elimination of separate desiccant components reduces line costs and improves overall cost-effectiveness.
The packaging design offers additional advantages with flexible labelling and secondary packaging options, which is particularly important for broad product portfolios in the OTC and RX sectors.
