Shipping label, content information, warnings: Some pallets not only have to be labelled with numerous different contents or in different places. The formats of the labels can also vary. In the past, several labellers were often used for pallets that had to be labelled in portrait and landscape format and at an angle. This is no longer necessary: thanks to its rotating dispensing pad, the labeller can the new Legi-Air AP 182 RT pallet labeller of the labelling provider Bluhm Systems Turn the labels into three different positions before applying them to the pallets.

At the same time, the Legi-Air AP 182 RT (just like the AP 182) ensures that pallets can be labelled at different points on one and the same packing lineThe device can be used with two different labels on one side, GS1-compliant on two adjacent sides or on three different sides. The device can be triggered individually by each pallet and activates one of seven pre-programmed travel paths in sequence. This is how it realises Even end face labelling in a narrow gap between two products. This is made possible by an applicator that is moved via linear axes by means of a stepper motor drive.

Pallet labelling next level

The Legi-Air AP 182 achieves top speeds of 120 pallets per hour for two-sided labelling and 90 pallets per hour for three-sided labelling. It only requires two pallet stops for three-sided labelling. The labels are printed using an integrated print module. Modules from various manufacturers are available. The label material can be up to DIN A5 format (according to EAN128 standard in portrait format). The use of rolls with a diameter of 350 millimetres ensures the greatest possible production time.

Completely enclosed and equipped with an automatic closing slide, the system is well protected against dust and other adverse production influences. Due to its intrinsically safe design, the AP 182 does not require a protective barrier. This not only saves space, but also reduces costs and effort for the customer. The rectangular housing of the pallet labeller consists of a profile frame construction which, with the exception of the transparent side door, is enclosed by stainless steel sheets. Substructures are also available in various heights to suit the respective conveyor technology.

The winding and unwinding unit and print module can be moved and are easily accessible for quick and easy material changes. Thanks to standardised interfaces, the system can be integrated easily and without much effort on the signal and data side. If service or maintenance is required, the widespread service of Bluhm Systems competently at your disposal.
