New president at Dematic

Michael Larsson was appointed as the new President of Dematic on 1 January. At the same time, he became a member of the Executive Board of the KION Group.

Michael Larsson was appointed as the new President of Dematic on 1 January. At the same time, he became a member of the Executive Board of the KION Group, succeeding Hasan Dandashly.

Larsson has been working in industrial automation and robotics for 35 years and has established himself as a Strategic business manager with a focus on customers and employees proven. Most recently, as Executive Vice President of Dematic's Americas region, he was responsible for accelerating growth and driving a market-leading presence in the US, Canada, Mexico and South America. Over the past three years, as head of the Americas region, he has successfully led the company through complex challenges during the Covid-19 pandemic as well as the historic e-commerce surges of 2021 and 2022.

Prior to joining Dematic, Mr Larsson was Senior Vice President and General Manager of ABB's Automotive business unit. During his more than 30 years with the technology group ABB, he has also been involved in increasingly senior management positions, including as finance director and division manager on four continents. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the School of Economics at Stockholm University in Sweden.
