That is why it is particularly important, promote and further develop regional reusable cycles. Because even with well-functioning reusable systems, things can always be further optimised, such as filling processes, logistics or eco-design. With the Reusable Innovation Award, we want to highlight and promote such developments so that the Ecological advantage of reusable over disposable will be expanded even further,“ says DUH Federal Managing Director Barbara Metz.
„Consumers are fed up with single-use plastic bottles. They know that single-use plastic exacerbates our climate crisis and leads to unnecessary mountains of waste. Glass, on the other hand, is all the rage, because it is not only suitable for refilling up to 50 times, but also has a particularly high-quality look and feel and protects the contents in the best possible way. That is why the focus of the Reusable Innovation Award This year, too, the focus is on glass.“
