New system provides flexibility for inline printing

Atlantic Zeiser presents Digiline Vario, a new system for full-colour inline printing of flexible narrow web materials.

Atlantic Zeiser presents a new system for full-colour inline printing of flexible narrow web materials. Digiline Vario can be used to print films for closure applications or flexible laminates for pouch or tube production.

At the Pack Expo in Chicago, USA Atlantic Zeiser for the first time a system for full-colour printing on flexible narrow web materials. The new Digiline Vario therefore allows the Advantages of on-demand printing and late-stage customisation, even for materials from the roll to utilise. In packaging processes for flat, stand-up and tubular bags or stick packs, for example, this enables the Significantly reduce or avoid costly stockpiling of pre-printed material variants.

Brand owners, converters, CMOs and other users also benefit from significantly increased flexibility and agility, as even the smallest batch sizes can be printed efficiently and in a visually appealing way. The This significantly reduces the time to market for new products. In order to optimally integrate the Digiline Vario even into existing systems or processes, it is available both as a Inline and nearline version available. An offline version („roll to roll“) is also available.

Thanks to the new ProFlo inkjet technology, the Digiline Vario achieves particularly vivid colours and the best Print quality even with the smallest details in the form of graphics, fonts, coding or serialisation. At the same time, the ProFlo inkjet technology used there stands for reliability and availability; the associated new drying technology reduces the amount of energy required. The Digiline Vario has a vorvalised unit, which consists of the printing and camera system both use the same PDF workflow. This simplifies the technical integration of the camera into the workflow and reduces the time required for set-up and validation. A reference image does not need to be generated; the check is based solely on the original PDF and includes the entire print image, the printed data and codes, the grading and the colours.

„This also results in significantly less effort for the creation of print templates, for format adjustments and for qualification on the lines. Overall, this means less project complexity, lower costs, less risk and less validation work.“
