Hoffmann Neopac has developed a customised packaging solution for a topical antiparasitic solution produced by Aurora Pharmaceutical in the USA. The recently released veterinary medicine is now available in disposable tubes with high barrier protection and an applicator.
For the project, Neopac manufactured the Twist'n'us tube, a small-volume, single-dose tube that is permanently open once the protective cap is twisted off. In addition to its first-opening guarantee, this permanently installed cap is also very user-friendly and the application of the product contained in the tube to the treatment site is particularly precise.
Tube solution promises longer shelf life
For Aurora Pharmaceutical, it was important that the medicine was packaged in an aesthetically optimised solution and did not require external moisture protection. To meet these needs, the tube is equipped with Neopac's Polyfoil technology - a trademarked blend of materials with enhanced barrier properties.
It offers products comprehensive protection against moisture, oxygen and other potentially harmful substances. According to the manufacturer, these solutions give products a longer shelf life compared to products in traditional packaging made of polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP).
„Neopac was the only packaging partner that could provide our coveted combination of superior barrier protection, small-dose dispensing accuracy, chemical compatibility and overall manufacturing quality. We are particularly excited about the innovative dosing design, which allows for direct, hassle-free application of a product that would otherwise be cumbersome to apply.“.
