The NC300 is an optimised and more flexible machine in Norden Machinery AB's range of cartoners. With its more sophisticated specification, it has been designed to meet demanding pharmaceutical standards, is highly ergonomic and works extremely efficiently. It can process up to 300 cartons per minute.

Norden is a manufacturer of high-speed tube fillers and cartoners. Like all of the company's systems, the new machine has been developed to fulfil customer requirements and industry standards. The new design of the NC300 reflects the flexibility, ease of upgrade and outstanding modularity that have always characterised Norden tube fillers.

„Internally, we called the NC300 the champion of flexibility,“ smiles Hans Söderström, the Technical Director. „We at Norden have known for a long time that we have excellent tube fillers and have therefore faced up to the increased demands of the market. This has taken us to the next level.“

Outstanding features

„The new straightening system can Erect folding boxes in both directions. This is a unique feature and results in maximum flexibility. For operators in production practice, this means that they do not have to consider the direction of the tubes with regard to the print on the packaging. The position of the tubes can therefore be seen independently of the printing on the folding carton. This is important for the Production planning and opens up the possibility of processing identical packaging material on different product lines.“

The primary goal in the development of the new and improved machine was to fulfil the strict requirements of the Pharmaceutical industry in terms of accessibility, GMP standards and other strict regulations and requirements such as the CFR21 Part 11 regulations.

The flexibility of the NC300 makes changeovers quicker and easier, and the machine can be easily adapted to different types of packaging. The operator has better access to the machine, regardless of the configuration of the line.

„The position for inserting the Package insert has also been greatly improved,“ emphasises Hans Söderström. „The height of the carton store has been improved and the push-in unit is at the end. This makes access easier and the view of the process is much better. And of course the familiar features such as the North Easyware Part of the equipment.“
