O. Kleiner AG is planning the installation of a modern 10-colour rotogravure printing press by 2027. This investment is intended to promote the production of sustainable packaging solutions.

The packaging industry faces the challenge of meeting increasing demands for sustainability and efficiency. O. Kleiner AG, a company specializing in flexible packaging, has responded to this challenge with a significant investment in a new rotogravure printing press. The installation of this state-of-the-art 10-colour press is planned for 2027 and is intended to further strengthen the company's technological capabilities.

The new gravure printing press is equipped with the latest technology, specially developed for printing on oriented polyethylene, it is stated. This enables O. Kleiner to meet the requirements of the future EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) today. The press is characterised by very short changeover times, allowing for more flexible and efficient production. This investment is an important step in the company's strategy to further develop sustainable packaging solutions and reduce its ecological footprint.

Flexibility in production

A significant advantage of the new deep-drawing system is its increased flexibility in production. Thanks to short retooling times, O. Kleiner can react more quickly to changing customer requirements and thus shorten delivery times. This is particularly advantageous in a market that increasingly relies on customisation and rapid product changes.
