Optima Pharma has a new assembly hall: the new 4,600 square metre building offers space for large complete pharmaceutical systems and is called the CSPE Centre. Optima invested a double-digit million euro sum in the new building in the Solpark industrial estate in Schwäbisch Hall.
In the course of a festive ceremony Hans Bühler, managing partner of the Optima Group, opened the ultra-modern building on 26 June. Gerhard Breu and the staff of Optima Pharma. Breu has been Chief Representative of the Optima Pharma Division since July 2017.
„This building will enable us to construct large, multi-storey pharmaceutical facilities,“ emphasised Bühler in his speech.
In the past year, Optima Pharma has CSPE (Comprehensive Scientific Process Engineering) has introduced a technical and scientific approach that significantly shortens the delivery and commissioning times of complex turnkey systems. Thanks to the new infrastructure, the new, forward-looking CSPE processes ‚integrated acceptances‘ possible. The entire system - consisting of the isolator and the filling and sealing machine - is fully tested and approved under realistic conditions on site in Schwäbisch Hall.
Gerhard Breu thanked Hans Bühler for the trust placed in him and wished the employees many successful projects in the new building. „Buildings like this signalise future orientation, confidence and trust. The hall has created a new, outstanding working environment for our employees,“ said Breu in his speech.

Comfortable working
The twelve metre high assembly hall offers 3,600 square metres of space for the large pharmaceutical systems. Adjacent to this on the north side is a three-storey office building, which houses social rooms, office space and meeting rooms for customer visits.
The building is heated and cooled with concrete core activation, ensuring pleasant temperatures all year round. Cranes can be used up to a height of eight metres. These offer maximum safety.
„To the north and west, we will add a green strip of around three metres,“ says Rolf Blank, the architect responsible. In addition, the yard next door was asphalted at ground level, so that transport from the new logistics centre to Optima Pharma can now be carried out at ground level. A covered container area has also been added.
Building was realised earlier than planned
Initial considerations for the new building began back in 2016. Construction was originally scheduled to start in 2021, but was brought forward due to the high order intake at Optima Pharma. The building was completed by Blank and his team in just seven months. Blank was already responsible for the new logistics centre and has completed several new buildings for Optima in the past.
