With the founding of Optima Machinery Italy S.r.l., the Optima Group has expanded its presence in the important Italian pharmaceutical and packaging market and officially opened the new unit in Bologna.

Optima justifies the move with the continued growth of the pharmaceutical sector in Italy and the aim of improving customer proximity, short communication channels and service quality. As the central brand, the new company will address the pharmaceutical and consumer sectors, while Amotek S.r.l. will continue to serve the nonwovens sector as an established secondary brand.

According to the company, both brands are to leverage synergies in a two-brand strategy - from solutions for consumer goods packaging to high-precision filling and production systems for pharmaceuticals. In addition, as part of the expansion, the 600th employee, Laura Magnani, was welcomed to a foreign subsidiary, which emphasises the international scaling.

Two-brand strategy with Amotek

Optima Machinery Italy acts as the central point of contact for Italian customers in the pharmaceutical and consumer sectors. Amotek remains active in parallel as a secondary brand for nonwovens. According to Optima, the two companies work closely together to offer customers a broad portfolio of services and shorten project response times.
