Chelmer Foods has reorganised its pallet management and now works with Tosca's pooled reusable plastic pallets. The change is intended to make operational processes more efficient, optimise the supply chain and increase customer satisfaction.
Chelmer Foods has entered into a partnership with Tosca to overcome challenges in pallet management. By using Tosca's MP3/DIC 1210 plastic pallets, the company was able to minimise the Simplify management of around 6,000 pallets and reduce inefficiencies in logistics.
Previously, Chelmer Foods struggled with inconsistent quality and high repair costs for damaged pallets. With the new solution No need for repairs and maintenance, which, according to Chelmer Foods, frees up resources. Simon Heather, Managing Director of Chelmer Foods, praised the seamless transition to the Tosca solution and emphasised that the collaboration had strengthened existing customer relationships.
The changeover not only brought cost savings, but also improved customer satisfaction. The food-safe plastic pallets ensure consistently high quality and optimise transport and cleaning. According to Chelmer Foods, Tosca's comprehensive pooling services make it easier to adapt to the growing demands of the industry.
Chelmer Foods and Tosca are planning further joint projects for the future. For example, they are looking into Pallets also for overseas deliveries and introduce collapsible containers to meet regulatory requirements and promote sustainable supply chains.
