The Optimum Group has developed sustainable packaging solutions for the Sports & Nutrition sector with its new Optimum Fit product line, focusing on product protection, brand effect, and recyclability.
The portfolio is aimed at manufacturers of protein powders, RTD beverages, nutritional supplements, bars, and snacks. The solutions offered include water-washable self-adhesive labels, which can be enhanced with multilayer and booklet options, as well as shrink sleeves with perforations to facilitate separation during recycling. Particularly noteworthy are the linerless and banderole solutions, which do not require a backing paper, thus contributing to waste and CO2 emission reduction.
In addition, Optimum Fit offers mono-material pouches made from PP or PE, designed for recyclability, as well as printed films and wraps with high barrier properties for stable product protection.
The Optimum Group stresses that all packaging solutions within the Optimum Fit portfolio follow the Design for Circularity principle. This means the products are designed to function reliably in practical use while also being capable of integration into existing recycling structures. This is presented as a crucial step towards meeting the increasing demands of the European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR).
