Pack Expo Las Vegas celebrated its 30th anniversary this year with a record number of exhibitors and visitors.

Over 2,300 exhibitors presented their latest technologies in the fields of robotics, artificial intelligence and automation on a record-breaking exhibition area. More than 30,000 trade visitors and 20,000 representatives of the exhibiting companies filled the halls of the Las Vegas Convention Centre - more than ever before.

„The scale and momentum of Pack Expo Las Vegas shows how rapidly our industry is evolving,“ said Jim Pittas, President and CEO of organiser PMMI. The technologies on display will not only fulfil current requirements, but will also shape growth and innovation in the coming decades.

Focus on sustainability and automation

At the trade fair, participants from over 40 sectors were specifically looking for solutions to the biggest challenges facing the packaging and processing industry. Topics such as sustainability, recyclability and energy-efficient production were just as much a focus as the use of AI and robotics for process optimisation.

The exhibitors were also satisfied: many reported intensive discussions, high visitor frequency and concrete business deals. For companies such as Syntegon, Zambelli Packaging and R.A. Jones, the event is a central meeting point for the North American market, according to the organisers.

Exchange and knowledge transfer

In addition to the exhibition, over 100 free presentations offered up-to-date insights into industry topics such as automation, customs duties, sustainability and the shortage of skilled labour. According to Laura Thompson, Vice President Trade Shows at PMMI, the strength of Pack Expo is not only the size of the trade fair, but above all the exchange of knowledge and the networking events such as the „Women's Leadership Network Breakfast“ and the „Young Professionals Networking Reception“.

After the anniversary event, the focus is now turning to the future: the next Pack Expo East will take place from 17 to 19 February 2026 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.
