Adhesives manufacturer Jowat is exhibiting at Fruit Logistica for the first time this year. The company will be showcasing tried-and-tested standard products and sustainable alternatives in Berlin.

With more than 100 years of experience in the adhesives industry Jowat is now one of the world's most renowned manufacturers when it comes to Bonding of trays, cartons or folding boxes in a wide variety of requirement scenarios. Under the Jowat-Toptherm brand, the product portfolio includes hot melt adhesives that have been tried and tested on the market for many years. The Jowat-Toptherm 851.10 adhesive is particularly recommended when it comes to bonding demanding surfaces, such as coated surfaces. In addition to very clean processing due to its sharp thread breakage, it also stands out with its high cold resistance. The adhesive has also been used for years for Products in use that require a refrigerated supply chain, to arrive fresh at your destination.

Jowat-Toptherm 851.15 masters more demanding conditions such as high restoring forces, short pressing times and high temperatures. packaging of products that have to be transported over long distances from the producer.

Jowat-Toptherm 851.20 comes into play at the hottest ambient temperatures, for example when cartons have to be stored or packaged unprotected and in full sunlight. This high-performance PO hotmelt adhesive impresses with the highest heat resistance in the Jowat portfolio. Combined with a very high initial strength, even bonds with high tension and very short pressing times can be realised. The machine must be able to cope with a wide variety of packaging requirements, such as those encountered when packing heavy fruit like mangoes or watermelons.

Jowat offers customers who want to make their bonding processes more sustainable in the long term alternative hot melt adhesives from the constantly growing „Jowat Green Adhesives“ product family. For example, the packaging adhesives in the Jowatherm GROW range have certified Proportion of renewable raw materials based on pine resins on. In addition to its bio-based raw material content of 33 per cent, Jowatherm GROW 853.20 is particularly resource-efficient - it can be processed at temperatures as low as 120 °C. Jowatherm GROW 853.22 scores points with an even higher proportion of bio-based raw materials of 51 per cent. The very broad adhesion spectrum also enables secure bonding even on challenging surfaces.
