Paptic Ltd is expanding its portfolio with an innovative wood fibre-based material for packaging in the hygiene and intimate care sector. This recyclable material offers an environmentally friendly alternative to plastic and is designed to improve the user experience.
Paptic Ltd has developed a new, sustainable packaging material for the hygiene and intimate care sector that is based on based on renewable wood fibres and easily recycled can be produced. The aim is to replace conventional plastics and offer both manufacturers and consumers a more environmentally friendly solution.
The company emphasises that the Material compatible with existing plastics processing systems and therefore enables an easy transition to sustainable packaging solutions. According to Alexandros Skouras, Hygiene Segment Director at Paptic, the material not only improves the environmental footprint, but also offers increased functional performance. „This Solution seamlessly replaces conventional plastics and offers a renewable and recyclable alternative,“ says Skouras. The material is particularly suitable for personal care products where comfort plays an important role.
The new packaging material fulfils the requirements of the EU's Single-Use Plastic Directive (SUP), which recognises paper as an environmentally friendly alternative to plastic. It is also FSC-certified, which emphasises its sustainable and responsible sourcing.
Another advantage of the material is its Heat sealability, which makes it particularly attractive for the production of packaging in the mass market. Skouras emphasises that with this step, Paptic wants to help manufacturers reduce their dependence on plastics and at the same time conserve resources. In Europe, more than 84 per cent of fibre-based packaging material is already recycled, which makes the further promotes the recyclability of this material.
With its market entry in the hygiene and femcare sector, Paptic represents an important step towards a more sustainable packaging industry that meets the growing need for environmentally friendly alternatives.
