The world of packaging is constantly on the move, with brands and companies looking for new, innovative solutions. Material reduction is an issue here, because sustainability is and remains important. bpc Berndt+Partner Creality is on the lookout for innovative ideas. Every month, we present the Packaging of the Month in co-operation.
Ellipses instead of a standardised look
In the market for personal care products, packaging has long been more than just a wrapper - it plays a decisive role in attracting attention, recognition and brand affiliation. With its Bubble Bath & Shower Gel, SEPHORA presents packaging that stands out from the crowd both visually and functionally. The product is part of the SEPHORA COLLECTION and is particularly eye-catching thanks to its flat, elliptical plastic bottle with a flip-top cap.
Pop art meets clear lines
The design combines an elegant, slightly playful shape with bright pop art illustrations of floral motifs. Depending on the variety, the bottles are translucent or opaque, in each case matching the respective fragrance. The visual differentiation of the variants at the point of sale is therefore particularly clear - and at the same time, the standardised design language ensures a coherent brand image on the shelf.
In addition to the strong design, the packaging also offers functional advantages: The oval silhouette sits comfortably in the hand and makes it easier to use in the shower. The concept is complemented by matching refill packs in the form of stand-up pouches that are visually coordinated with the respective fragrance. The refill solution not only supports the sustainable use of resources, but also enables more economical use for consumers in the long term.
Packaging that shows attitude
With this packaging approach, SEPHORA has its finger on the pulse of the times: a striking look that sets it apart from the competition, coupled with a simple and sensible contribution to sustainability through reuse. The company thus demonstrates that cosmetics packaging today can score points both aesthetically and ecologically.
