The German Packaging Institute has once again honoured Syntegon with the German Packaging Award: The paper-based solution „Blister meets Paper“ won in the „Sustainability“ category.

The jury praised the sustainability and good functionality of the packaging, which should also appeal to health and environmentally conscious customers in terms of feel and appearance. Syntegon developed the Innovative blister packaging together with the Finnish packaging material manufacturer Huhtamaki.

„While environmentally and health-conscious customers can already find sustainable packaging solutions for a large number of products, there has been no environmentally friendly alternative for push-through packaging for tablets and capsules until now. We wanted to change this with Blister meets Paper.“ The paper-based blister packs are particularly suitable for food supplements, so-called „nutraceuticals“.
Torsten Sauer, Project Manager Sustainability at Syntegon

In the version submitted, a blister has seven cavities and thus offers space for one tablet per weekday.
