The snack market is highly competitive and manufacturers need to maximise efficiency in all areas. Ishida has developed a new fully automatic case packer for this purpose. The ACP-722 RRP is a powerful, flexible and compact solution for a wide range of bag and carton packs and sizes.
The ACP-722 RRP case packer requires minimal floor space and is Up to 50 per cent smaller than conventional machines. Users save valuable space and can easily integrate the device into existing production lines. The slim design with only one flow direction makes the case packer also suitable for double lines.
The maximum speed is 20 cartons or 100 bags per minute. Pillow, gusseted, flat-bottom and HEM bags with a width of 108 to 330 mm and a length of up to 375 mm can be processed. They can be various arrangements and orientations and also packaged in retail-ready displays without having to replace machine parts. In addition to the adhesive tape closure, options for the side closure and the push-lock closure are also available.
Carton feeding and orientation, bag sorting and packaging as well as carton closing and sealing are combined in a single compact unit so that no additional conveyor belts are required. All functions can be controlled via an HMI touchscreen. Product changeover is carried out automatically by recalling up to 500 presets and is completed in less than three minutes.
The new ACP-722 RRP case packer can also be part of a fully integrated Ishida snack packaging line with multi-head weigher, flow wrapper, seal tester, checkweigher and X-ray inspection system. The entire line is then centrally controlled with the ITPS 2 software and the case packer communicates with the upstream quality control department so that adjustments can be made immediately if necessary.
