The deadline for entries to the fourth „PackTheFuture Award“ has been running since 1 March 2018. The competition is organised by the French association for plastic packaging and flexible packaging „ELIPSO“ and the German Industrial Association for Plastic Packaging (IK).
The aim of the competition is to, Innovative and creative solutions in the field of sustainable plastic packaging to promote. Entries are honoured in the four categories „Ecodesign“, Product Protection, Consumer Benefits and „Save Food“. The „PackTheFuture Awards“ serve as pre-qualification for the „WorldStar Awards“.
ELIPSO and IK are partnering this year with the leading French packaging trade fair „ALL4PACK“ was received. The awards will be presented at this trade fair on 27 November 2018. IK and ELIPSO will have a joint stand for the entire duration of the trade fair.
The award ceremony for the Franco-German competition takes place alternately in Germany and France each year. In Germany, the winners are announced at the Interpack announced.

Members of the juries are representatives of non-governmental organisations, journalists, scientists, designers and packaging experts.
