Solutions such as synchronous reluctance motors can reduce energy consumption in the process by up to 25 per cent. ABB also supplies the right solutions for the intelligent management of all energy flows: The Ability Energy and Asset Manager supports users in recognising and understanding inefficiencies, weak points and correlations, by enabling the recording, analysis and visualisation of the energy flow of individual systems and entire sites.

Sustainable products, solutions and services must be based on the fundamental principle of the circular economy. ABB has set itself the goal of 80 per cent of products and solutions to comply with the circular concept by 2030. Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) provide information on environmental impact, recyclability and CO₂-emissions reduction potential in their product life cycle. With EcoSolutions, ABB has developed a concept that Transferring circular thinking to products, by communicating the environmental impact and recyclability of the products themselves in a transparent and measurable way, thus setting a new benchmark for recyclability.
