Walke AG, based in Herisau, will become part of Zug-based Peyer Group AG with effect from January 2026. With this takeover, the internationally active Swiss group of companies is further expanding its activities in the areas of packaging, speciality papers and finishing.
Walke AG can look back on over 140 years of company history and stands for Swiss industrial expertise in paper and cardboard production. Over the past decades, the company has developed from traditional paper production to high-quality materials and processes with high added value and today supplies customers from the packaging and industrial sectors in Switzerland and abroad.
Independent continuation and continuity at the locations
Even after the change of ownership, Walke AG will continue to operate independently at its existing locations in Herisau and Givisiez. The operational management will remain unchanged within the company, as will the existing customer relationships. According to the companies involved, the transition will have no impact on employees, customers or ongoing business processes.
Strategic addition for the Peyer Group
Peyer Group AG was founded in 1880 and is active in the fields of finishing, refining and labelling packaging, books and industrial products. It supplies customers in over 50 countries and, by its own account, combines engineering expertise with high quality standards and continuous innovation.
