Packaging networks in Baden-Württemberg want to merge

The Waiblingen-based PEC Packaging Excellence Region Stuttgart e.V. and Packaging Valley Germany e.V. from Schwäbisch Hall want to merge. Preparations for the merger were decided by the general meetings of the associations involved.

Two packaging clusters in Baden-Württemberg are preparing to merge. The Waiblingen-based PEC Packaging Excellence Centre Region Stuttgart e.V. and Packaging Valley Germany e.V. from Schwäbisch Hall want to join forces and present themselves under a single name based in Waiblingen.

The preparation of the Fusion decided the General meetings of the participating clubs. First in Schwäbisch Hall, then a few days later at the PEC in Waiblingen, those present instructed the Executive Board members to draw up a comprehensive strategy paper for the planned merger over the next few months. This will then be presented to the members for approval.

Association headquarters becomes Waiblingen

Both associations still have a lot of work to do before the merger is finalised, according to the report on the meetings. Both sets of statutes need to be revised. The registered office is to be moved to Waiblingen and the use of the standardised brand „Packaging Valley Germany e.V.“ will be prepared. The Offices in Schwäbisch Hall and Waiblingen are to remain in place.

This will also have a positive impact on the regions in terms of training and further education as well as the recruitment of skilled labour.“
