Polifilm Osterburken GmbH is investing three million euros in a new production hall in the RIO industrial park. The construction will enable the company to expand its production capacities for packaging and labelling films.

By laying the foundation stone on 3 July 2025, Polifilm Osterburken GmbH is sending out a positive signal for the regional economy, according to a statement. Completion of the new building in the RIO industrial park is planned for December 2025. Three additional extrusion lines are to go into operation in the new hall, which will be used primarily for the production of packaging and labelling films.

Expansion creates new jobs

With this investment, the film specialist not only wants to expand its production capacities, but also create up to twelve new jobs. Managing Director Jens Kölble emphasised: „We are deeply connected to the region. This makes it all the more important for us to grow together locally.“

Symbolic launch with time capsule

At the ceremony, Polifilm employees placed a time capsule in the foundation of the new hall - as a reminder of the start of construction and a sign of the site's future.
