All the advantages of the sophisticated FCA 160 clip module are utilised during production. The FCA 160 processes the three clip pitches M, L and XL. Its spreading displacer in combination with the R-ID clip form achieves visually appealing products and almost fry-free product or sausage braids with short sausage shoulders. These are a prerequisite for more slices per sausage, i.e. also More yield when slicing. In addition, this clip shape produces an even pleating of the casing, the clip sits in the centre of the plait and a modified inner profile leads to greater holding power of the clip closure. With every product change and on request the machine automatically checks, whether the correct clips are present, whether the die matches the clip and whether the clip pressure and displacement hole size are set correctly. If there are deviations from the stored parameters, the control system quickly corrects them automatically or a message is displayed to the operator, which is also logged. This eliminates the need for manual fine adjustments, which has a positive effect on smooth production.
Greater system efficiency
The continuous precise positioning of the sausages on the smoke sticks in the hanging area enables a higher loading density and thus ensures the Maximum utilisation of the smoking and cooking systems. Compared to the use of a conventional filling line, e.g. consisting of an FCA 3430 and filler in two-shift operation (eight employees), productivity can be increased by up to 25 per cent with 37 per cent fewer personnel.
The machine, which has a state-of-the-art PC control system, only requires the same space as standard filling lines with a work table. Production can start quickly and smoothly, alignment and coupling of the clipping and hanging unit are not necessary. The casing is pulled on and reloaded when the clip head is stationary. The product parameters in the recipe management system can be called up and the PC control system has fast and precise signal processing.
The USB interface for importing and exporting data is part of the standard equipment. The WS-Food-Standard interface for recording operating data via the customer's own network is available as an option. Equipment with the Intelligent Filler Clipper interface (IFC) is available on request. The high degree of automation of the system enables Continuous process monitoring.
Further increase productivity
The output rate is increased even further when the fully automatic robot system Automatic Sausage Loader ASL-R on the FCHL 160 is used for the Loading the smoke trolleys takes over. The ASL-R achieves seven rods per minute, which it positions fully automatically and precisely in the smoke trolley. The innovative FCHL 160 automatic clip hanging machine produces in the 38 to 100 millimetre calibre range and processes standard automation-compatible smoke sticks (800 to 1,050 millimetres) made of metal or plastic.
