Premium labels made from recycled fibre

Avery Dennison is launching four premium label papers made from recycled and alternative fibres, including hemp fibre.

Avery Dennison is responding to the growing demand for sustainable labelling and packaging solutions by launching four premium label papers made from recycled and alternative fibres. The company uses fast-growing hemp fibres, for example. 

The label papers are intended for the premium packaging segment, including wine and spirits, artisan beverages, gourmet foods, cosmetics and fragrances. The new range consists of three new papers that can be used for 100% made from recycled fibres and one made from hemp fibres become.

Fasson rPaper Black FSC 100 per cent recycled (50 per cent PCW and 50 per cent PIW) is a black, core-coloured, uncoated paper with a visually eye-catching label. for various applications. Another new addition to the range is Fasson rMartelé Black FSC 100 per cent recycled (50 per cent PCW and 50 per cent PIW). It is an uncoated, matt paper with a „hammered“, embossed surface. It matches the non-recycled Martelé Black from the current portfolio and can be Seamless integration into existing labelling solutions. Similar to rPaper Black, this paper eliminates the problem of black ink bleeding in ice buckets and its pulp colour ensures a sophisticated and clean appearance by avoiding the unpleasant problem of white edges and the back of the label.

Fasson rMartelé Blanc FSC 100 per cent recycled (50 per cent PCW and 50 per cent PIW) is also an uncoated, matt paper with the same „hammered“, tactile embossed surface as rMartelé Black. Fasson Hemp 50 per cent FSC offers a natural and voluminous feel with its white, uncoated, matt surface. It offers a sustainable alternative to conventional pulp-based papers and consists of 50 per cent hemp fibres, which is sourced regionally from France and Germany and can be harvested up to seven times a year. Thanks to its high grammage, it is also ideal for labels with embossed or unembossed details.
