The Zellcheming-Expo will take place from 18 to 20 June 2024. The exhibition space is already 87 per cent full and the programme planning focuses on the topic of sustainability.

In the eighth calendar week, 80 exhibitors had already confirmed their participation or reserved stand space. This means that almost 1,700 of the 1,950 m2 of space in the RMCC are currently fully utilised. „This positive development, which we particularly appreciate in view of the ongoing difficult economic situation, gives us a lot of momentum for the final phase of preparations for this year's event,“ explains Petra Hanke, Managing Director of the RMCC. We are therefore certain that we will not only end up with a very Good and extensive range across the entire exhibition area but also that we can further expand our thematic spectrum.“

According to a recent report by the Zukunftsinstitut, no other megatrend triggers such fierce debates as the question of Sustainable consumption, resource conservation and energy supply. According to trend researchers, it is becoming increasingly clear that efficiency is the path to green prosperity and economic stability. After taking office, Zellcheming Association Chairwoman Prof Dr Helga Zollner-Croll placed the topic of sustainability directly on the Executive Board and is now in the process of dovetailing it with the work of the technical specialist committees. At the start of the Zellcheming Forum on the first day of the trade fair, Zollner-Croll is expecting a series of Representatives from politics, associations and companies in the industry. The panel is entitled: „The paper and fibre-based industry on the way to climate-neutral production - political framework conditions, successful investment projects and promising prospects!“.

Last year's premiere of the Zellcheming Career Day on the last day of the Expo was already one of the highlights, and now the innovative format is expected to receive a further boost. This special focus on the third day of the Expo offers the core target groups - students and trainees - a Direct and uncomplicated access to companies in the pulp and paper industry. Universities, educational institutions, personnel service providers, institutes, companies, associations and other organisations act as partners and sponsors. „We are sure that many paper, cardboard and pulp manufacturers will actively utilise the opportunity to present their companies, locations and job profiles and to make contact with the next generation of the industry,“ says Frank Meltzer, Deputy Chairman of the Zellcheming Association.
