Production is up and running in Bradford: Princes and Capri-Sun launch their strategic partnership with an investment of £15 million and four new production lines.

The Princes Group, one of the UK's leading drinks manufacturers, and Capri-Sun officially launched their new partnership in May 2025. Four new production lines were commissioned at the Bradford site as part of a grand opening ceremony, which will be used to produce over 250 million Capri-Sun drinks pouches for the UK and Ireland every year.

The start of production has created 50 new jobs. The investment amounts to 15 million pounds.

Sustainable packaging with monomaterial and tethered caps

Capri-Sun is also using the new capacity to roll out recyclable mono-material beverage pouches, which, according to the company, have the lowest carbon footprint of all beverage containers worldwide. In addition, tethered caps are used on 330 ml pouches, which reduce packaging waste by 14 per cent.

The aim is to make the Capri Sun brand the most sustainable children's drinks brand in the UK, according to reports.

First location worldwide for new varieties

In addition to the classic flavours, the new Cola Zero flavour is also produced in Bradford - the first plant in the world to do so. Monster Alarm Zero is also part of the new range coming off the production line in Bradford.

With a total of twelve lines, the site is the Princes Group's largest soft drinks plant.
