Registration open for Pro Carton Young Designers Award 2024

The Pro Carton Young Designers Award honours young designers and provides a platform. Participation for 2024 is now possible.

The Pro Carton Young Designers Award honours young designers and offers a platform to showcase their talent. We are looking for innovative ideas for cartonboard packaging. Participation for 2024 is now possible.

Entries for the Pro Carton Young Designers Award (PCYDA) and the Pro Carton Student Video Award (PCSVA) 2024 can now be submitted. The PCYDA and the PCSVA contribute to the Promotion of sustainable packaging innovations throughout Europe and recognise up-and-coming talent in the fields of sustainable packaging design and short film. Participation in both competitions is free of charge. They aim to encourage students to learn about the packaging industry while giving them the opportunity to develop their creative skills.

The competition offers students the opportunity to position themselves as pioneers and present innovative ideas in three categories: Creative Cartonboard Packaging: Food & Drink, Creative Cartonboard Packaging: All Other and the Sustainability Award. You get the chance here, gain experience outside the university, build networks, to create employment opportunities and win fantastic prizes.

Last year, the Pro Carton Young Designer's Award was presented to over 750 contributions from 30 countries while 33 participants from 17 countries applied for the Pro Carton Student Video Award. In addition to the winning entry, which will receive prize money, all other winners will also be invited to the official award ceremony, which will take place on 19 September in Berlin at the annual congress of the European Carton Makers Association (ECMA). The prestigious European Carton Excellence Awards will also be presented at the event.

„Both the Pro Carton Young Designers Award and the Pro Carton Student Video Award offer a fantastic opportunity for the future generation of packaging enthusiasts to showcase their talent and, of course, the versatility of cartonboard. We will continue to expand the learning opportunities to enable students to present their projects in a professional manner. At the same time, it is an opportunity for the industry to show young graduates exciting job opportunities. We look forward to seeing the creative and inspiring entries that will be submitted for 2024.“
