Sven Weihe is the new Managing Director of the pro-K industry association. He had already been interim Managing Director of the association since the death of Ralf Olsen. He has now been confirmed in the position as of 1 January.

Important concerns of the new Managing Director are the Reorganisation of central association activities with a view to public image and impact as well as advocating a regulatory environment that preserves the industry's competitiveness. Weihe, who was born in Hanover in 1974, is married and has two children. After studying history and German at Leibniz University Hanover and the University of Bristol and holding several positions in communications agencies, he joined Plastics Europe Deutschland in 2012. From October 2020, he headed up the association's Information and Communications division, before taking over as Head of Communications in January 2023 at pro-K entry.
